Rent a car on St. Thomas, drive to Red Hook and board the car ferry. There are two companies that travel between St. Thomas and St. John, Love City and Big Red Barge. We recommend purchasing one way, because you don’t know if you will be taking the same company back to St. Thomas. Be sure to bring cash, as they do not take credit cards. Be at the terminal as far in advance as practical, as lines begin forming for boarding 30-40 minutes prior to departure.

They meet you at the airport when you arrive and depart, and will make quick arrangements for you to be on your way.
